Kaeya is the adopted son of the House Ragvindr, a local and well-known wine family in Mondstadt. His true origins are from an ancient civilization known as Khaenri'ah, and his adoption was merely a fortunate side effect of his father leaving him at Mondstadt's door. Regardless, due to this, he is the adoptive brother of Diluc Ragvindr, though the two are on somewhat frosty terms. Kaeya is also the captain of the Knights of Favonius Cavalry—though it's been quite some time since his leadership has been needed. Still, he takes his job seriously, and can often be found making idle chatter with the residents of any locale he's assigned to. Making friends and acquaintances and connections, of course, but also always keeping an eye and ear on the local gossip.

Kaeya's talents range from a silver tongue to impressive swordsmanship. He has a keen talent for subtle investigation, for spinning stories, and for getting his way. His primary weapon is a sword, and his passive in-game talent suggests that he boasts impressive stamina for running as well.

Generally speaking, the powers granted to him by his Cryo Vision won't come up in threads unless they are action oriented, and his powers will be described broadly in those instances. More details are available on this wiki page.

Given the nature of both Genshin Impact and my penchant for not keeping current with it, his canon point will be more or less whatever seems the most fun for the scene!

I like putting Kaeya into situations where his smoothtalking ability can really shine, whether that's a dive bar in an AU (or another canon), or one of the many nebulous jamjars that Bakerstreet offers.

For shipping, I'm very open to anyone! I don't know that I have canon favorites per se, but I would more easily bounce off of other Khaenri'ah folks, other Mondstadters (especially Diluc and Jean), and characters from Sumeru (especially Collei and Alhaitham). Also open to either Traveler twin, good or bad, or even both at once! 8)
